News:

Amanda Galle of All Canadian Martial Arts defeated Mandi Ayotte of Regency boxing club on Saturday, April 12, with the ref stopping the contest in the 3rd round.  This was one of twelve boxing matches taking place at HUF Coliseum in Mississauga.  In other action David Jenner of KAYO boxing club in Chatham defeated Jonathan Rego, Jacob Heron defeated Sumit Manu, and Jhevani "The Body Snatcher" Dixon and Yanni Tome went toe to toe in an exhibition match-up.  All of these matches were recorded for television by Fight Card Boxing with Roger Wardell and Olga Rosa Heron providing the commentary.  Check back here for the airdates.

After 7-years as the play-by-play voice of the Kitchener Rangers of the Ontario Hockey League, Roger is now providing commentary for two Toronto teams.  Roger is the color commentator for the St. Michael's Buzzers, and the play-by-play voice of the Toronto Jr. Canadiens.  Both teams play in the Ontario Provincial Jr. A Hockey league.  The games are broadcast live on Rogers Television channel 10 in Toronto and on the internet.

Check out an edition of First Local, the only news/sports program serving the 1.1-million people of Mississauga and Brampton.  Roger is the Producer and Anchor of the show.  It airs Monday - Friday at 6pm and 10pm on Rogers Television in Mississauga and Brampton, Ontario, Canada.

OHL Primetime is a "Prix Impression Award" winner!  It was named the Best Sports Production on all of Rogers Television.  Roger provided the play-by-play.   

From brushes with Arnold Schwarzenegger as a kid in California, to playing hockey for the Oshawa Generals of the OHL, Devereaux Heshmatpour was a top prospect.   Roger's article on the 6'6, 238-pound, 17-year-old appeared in The Hockey News. (Click on the article for a larger version)
